-Life Drawing WorkShop-
6 hour pose & 3x explorative life drawing sessions
with David Hedderman & Barnaby Tree
This workshop will take place over 3 Sundays in May 12th, 19th and 26th. It is aimed to assist people to push their drawing practise further. Each Sunday will be split into 2 parts. The first part is the morning session (10.30am-12.30pm) which will start with a 2 hour life drawing class and then the second part will begin after lunch (1.30-3.30pm) where we will work on a 6 hour pose split over the 3 Sundays. There will be time at the end of each Sunday to reflect on the drawings made.
The morning sessions will be treated like a visual gym. where we will start will a normal life drawing session and as the Sundays go on we will integrate Movement and Sound within the life drawing structure. The second part of the day will be more traditionally focused to have time to work on a 'finished long pose'.
There will be opportunities for individual tutoring and, equally important for accelerated learning, for group review, a process of looking consciously and objectively at what you’ve achieved and then deciding what direction you want your work to take and, crucially, asking the question: what counts as a finished work?
As always the sessions will be soundtracked with a carefully put together playlist to suit the drawing mood.
There will be a soul soup and refreshments made each Sunday to get us through the drawing day.
