Bushy Pony invites artists to apply for HOPP, HOPP, GIDDY UP — HORSE FEVER, a curated group exhibition opening in Berlin in March 2027. Selected works will be exhibited at Bushy Pony’s gallery space in the Gräfekiez, alongside works by other participating artists.
The exhibition explores the horse as a charged symbol of body, power, fantasy, control and escape. We seek works that move beyond decorative equestrian imagery and engage with desire, domination, tenderness, class, girlhood, labour, freedom and the relationship between humans and animals.
Artists may submit up to three original works in painting, drawing or textile. Works do not need to depict a horse literally, but must clearly respond to the theme.
Bushy Pony is an artist-founded platform for contemporary figurative art, bringing together exhibitions, performances and gatherings around the body, identity and storytelling.
