QIANKUN 2027 is not just an exhibition of artworks.
We wish to create a space for exchange that transcends linguistic, geographical, cultural and disciplinary boundaries, where different human experiences can meet. In this project, traditional philosophy is not considered a fixed cultural symbol. It becomes a living resource that can be reinterpreted, questioned, and transformed through contemporary practices.
Art is not merely a visual object. It also constitutes a means of connecting:
individual experiences;
social realities;
collective reflections.
Your work can stem from a major social issue or a deeply personal experience:
a new perception of the body;
a memory linked to family or childhood;
an identity that cannot be reduced to a single definition;
an experience of migration between several cultures and languages;
a reflection on experiences related to femininity, masculinity or other identities;
a new imagination around equality, care, power, tensions and coexistence.
We are not asking artists to provide a single answer.
We want different visions to be able to meet in the same space.
To highlight the differences.
To create dialogue between experiences.
Invitation to artists from all over the world
