Katzengold
Series consisting of 4 different stiched tights and 5 photographys each 20x30 cm on alu-dibond.
For this series, I reworked commom tights into trashy tops and tights with hair, dots and dents or/and human reproductive organs.
I wore them like a second skin while walking through berlin. The photographs are the documentation of these walks. I was wondering how peoples reaction would be in a city where personality and individual character are of greatest importance ( at least, in certain parts o the city)
The series plays with the viewers' cognition and questions traditional conceptions of aesthetics, beauty and sex. It also a humorous malapropism of fashion.
This work raises questions about alleged generalities like common concepts of beauty or sex and opens a view for new perspectives.
