Sound Of Routine

“During the minute the green light lasts, my ears sharpened and my vision blurred. I listened to everything in detail, the sound of pedestrians talking and car horns everywhere. The screams and whistles were just other instruments that made up the “Urban Symphony of Santiago”. I was beginning to feel like a ‘Orchestra Director’. I knew that someone was filming, I felt accompanied, however my body began to react unconsciously. The heartbeat increased along with my body temperature which together resulted in sensory distortion. People hated me. The objective of the intervention was to try to give people 1 minute break in their daily routines. 1 minute! Finally, the intervention was transformed into euphoria, and surely left the musicians more anxious and stressed than they were before.”

The Encounter of Mind and Rule

Prototype I is a two-mechanism system part of "Automatic Painting Machine Project" where one is responsible for dripping or raining the paint and the other in manipulating it. The drops fall as a result of the vibration with the grid generating a particular sound. The roller is responsible for spreading the paint intervening the gesture of the upper mechanism. One part speaks and the other tries to silence it.

This project was created under quarantine times and it is expected to continue developing through this strange times.
