Since her childhood, my mother, Clara Guzmán González,  had been gathering photos, cooking recipes, books, textiles and daily life objects from my family without any reason besides loving having stories to tell to the new generations trough images, smells, and different family events like the Christmas reunion we been doing with the families of Magdalena Yodocono de Porfirio Díaz, Oaxaca and my family  the last 3 years since my grandmother´s passing.   In the last year, she´s been planning a family museum with all this archive at my grandparent´s house as a gift to the new generations of my family. 

The Third Option is an ongoing research project trying to understand - on one level- what Privilege is,which are  its politics and mechanisms and -on the other hand- how  the concept of representation is linked with those of Identity and territory.  This project works by doing oral interviews about this concepts with different people  and then trying to create a device to exhibit our collaboration.  

The first project is a collaboration with my mother during the confinement and its dedicated to her passion for preservation and transmission of  love and experiences. During the last month we re trying to classify 110 years of family history trough photos.This is a selection of her family archive and 4 small coreographies for the hands of my mother.

This correspondence is through my family history.

This project started thanks to the invitation of Nicolas Jaar at sound art residency last summer in Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research (Betlehem) and was presented at their online program on 28th of May
