Silent Germination

This piece is apart of a series of plant inspired art. I took paint chips that I have saved over the years to make petals for this potted plant.

Growing

I repurposed paint chips to create a a plant on canvas. My love for plants and art were meant to be combined in this piece.

Willow

I used the love of plants and society’s love for alcohol and decided to marry them using beer bottle caps collected over time.

How Brew Grew

I was inspired by durag packaging. This is a tribute to black barbershop culture by highlighting the durag. You can find a durag at any beauty supply store and luckily the corner store. What was once considered ghetto to wear in public has reached the runway.

Wave

I was inspired by the never ending reboot culture that we’re currently in. So many classic songs, shows, movies and fashion is being redone so I chose a work of art to recreate. It was important to me to show my version of a modern day Mona Lisa.
