Fellow artists, I am part of a venture aiming to create an online patron platform especially tailored to support visual artists. The idea is to make it possible for artists to earn an income by giving them the chance to acquire a number of monthly subscribers who in exchange for their patronage would receive a letter-sized or postcard-sized original by the artist in the mail. Key features of the platform:
- It will be exclusively for visual artists
- No fees will be charged to the participating artists at any point
- This will be a curated platform ensuring aesthetic coherence and discoverability for the artists.
Right now we are at the market research stage and have created a survey for artists to take in order to test our idea. I would like to invite you to take this survey and help prototype this project. New Art Patronage Platform - Artists, you are invited to contribute

Phrases and drawings carved onto the walls of what used to be the Nazi detention facilities, currently Memorial Site 1941-1944 at 4 Korai Street in Athens, are transferred onto the above-ground "body" of the city in an intervention/performance that spanned seven hours. The intervention was realized along the usual route taken by demonstrations through the city center.

“Hier wohnte” has the “Stolpersteine”, commemorative plaques for those deported and killed during the Nazi era, as point of departure. These plaques are situated in front of the last freely chosen place of residence of the people commemorated. In the work the plaques are integrated into the structural form of a manhole cover located in the area of Kurfürstendamm and situated on the surface of the work in a way that reflects the location of each plaque on the map. The work is part of the project "Metamorphosis/Kurfürstendamm" and was exhibited in the group show "Lost Space", João Cocteau Gallery, Berlin.

Baudelaire's poem Le Rebelle is transformed into a visual building block that gradualy constructs the image of a gagged demonstrator. More pictures of the book at the "Artist books" page of the site listed above.

Part of a broader body of work aspiring to deliver a reading of Baudelaire's poetry into space. The installation "Ne méprisez la sensibilité 
de personne. La sensibilité de chacun c'est 
son génie" from the poet's literary work "Journaux Intimes",  is transformed into a visual building block used to construct a form reminiscent of the structure of DNA. The form can theoretically itself become a building block in a structure, in an endlessly recurring procedure. The interest of taking "Metamorphosis/Athens", a project realized in Athens, Greece, a step further by documenting other cities  and  bringing the project to Berlin led me to join the network. A brief description of "Metamorphosis/Athens" follows and you can find more at my website. 

METAMORPHOSIS/ATHENS

The  "Metamorphosis/Athens'" vocabulary derives from the city's built environment. Abstract forms and patterns found within everyday urban elements such as pavement tiles, manhole covers, benches, etc. are documented on-site, taken out of their initial context and given a new - poetic - function as building blocks of a self-contained visual structure.
