ILLUSTRATION AND COMICS FESTIVAL LUSTR 2024

Are you an artist who enjoys drawing but hasn't yet exhibited at LUSTR? Register now and become part of the largest illustration showcase in Prague! Present your best free creations in one of three exhibition categories: free illustration, comics, and collectives. We welcome both professional and hobbyist illustrators.

LUSTR is an illustration festival taking place from September 20 to September 28, 2024, in Prague. It features exhibitions of illustrators and comic creators, accompanied by educational and entertaining programs.

The tenth edition of LUSTR brought together ten illustration and comics festivals from around the world. Illustrators, comic creators, and curators from Hong Kong, Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Germany, Taiwan, France, Greece, and Hungary came to Prague to collectively create a Metafestival – a festival of festivals that have survived the times of COVID.

As part of the national lounge, this year’s presentation unusually focused on Czech creators who have shone the brightest at LUSTR over the past decade. The exhibition also featured the work of the illustration duo Tomski&Polanski, celebrating their tenth anniversary, and the Prague premiere of the exhibition ‘Kdo vypráví komu o čem’ (Who tells whom about what), which earned acclaim in London by David Böhm and Jiří Franta.

Additionally, the festival, as it does every year, prepared an exhibition section showcasing young talent, presenting undiscovered talents in the field of illustration and comics.
