ANIMAGE - Pernambuco International Animation Festival has been held in Recife since 2008 and is among the most important film festivals in the country. With a broad and inclusive program, which occupies various locations in the city - from traditional rooms to public parks - ANIMAGE offers the best of contemporary world animation for an audience of all ages. The festival's content includes competitive screenings of shorts, feature films and special screenings, which total more than two hundred films from dozens of countries, as well as training actions through workshops, masterclasses, lectures and debates with national and international guests.

All ANIMAGE content is defined by rigorous and attentive curation, with an emphasis on experimental, bold, expressive, engaged, innovative and original films. The guiding principle of ANIMAGE is the Competitive Exhibition that reaches adults and children and contributes to expanding and strengthening the authorial animation market.

The ANIMAGE – 14th International Animation Festival of Pernambuco will take place in Recife - Brazil, in October, 2024 (dates under definition). It will include competitive screenings of national and international animation short films, in addition to special screenings, feature films, masterclasses, talks, and workshops.
