Through the North Shore Art Trail “Call to Artists,” the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) seeks to secure several artists or teams of artists, to design and implement a series of art initiatives along the Bay Street corridor from St. George to Stapleton, in Staten Island, New York.

The program will include, but not be limited to, the art installed on the walls of buildings, in small open spaces, murals, commissioned sculptures, digital art, and significant permanent installations.

The primary theme for the Art Trail is sustainability and the environment, and projects focused on that theme will be given priority consideration.

Artist costs, including insurance but excluding disposable materials, are eligible. This is a reimbursement program through which the artists will be paid at 50% completion and 100% completion of the project once New York State reimburses SIEDC. The art pieces should have a lifespan of 5 years or more.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY DECEMBER 15, 2022
