The Black British Dance Platform is collaboration between Serendipity and Dance4, with the ambition to support and nurture dance artists from the African and African Caribbean Diaspora, who are based in England, with a desire to present work internationally.

Through the Black British Dance Platform 2022, Serendipity and Dance4 will showcase two independent artists/companies as part of Let’s Dance International Frontiers 2022 supported through Dance4’s Dance from England programme. This platform and partnership will lead to increased international connectivity and visibility of Black British Dance, through a dedicated platform where work will be shared with international promoters and venues.

The Black British Dance Platform is part of Serendipity and Dance4’s joint commitment to affect long-term change in dance through the leadership of both organisations. This collaboration supports their aims to cultivate a sector that is representative of contemporary Britain, broadens the presence of independent artists internationally and enriches international perspectives into England’s dance ecology.
