2024 englewood hampden/delaware median art call

The City of Englewood’s Cultural Arts Commission in tandem with the City of Englewood invites artists or team of artists living in Colorado to apply for the 2024 Englewood Hampden/Delaware Median Art Call. This opportunity is for a permanent small-medium size art, both new or existing piece. This is the third in a median art series. It is an opportunity to add vibrancy and a sense of place to a growing and ever-changing Englewood.

The piece will include the installation of a medium-large format (no more than 7’ tall by 3’ wide) art/sculpture piece at the median on Hampden/Delaware Street. This artwork will be the third in a median art series on Hampden Avenue that follows the first of its kind since the commissioning of Virere by Lawrence Argent at the Yale & Broadway median in Englewood. Art has been commissioned for Hampden/Galapago & Hampden/Bannock. The project lends itself to a variety of artforms, including, but not limited to sculptural and two-dimensional works, as well as kinetic artwork. We encourage art that generates a sense of place and celebrates the diversity and quirkiness of the surrounding community. The piece will welcome the thousands of commuters who drive the corridor daily into and through Englewood.
