creatures magazine is now taking submissions for our upcoming issue on the theme of :community. The submissions window is open until October 15th.
We’re looking for poems, short fiction and essays, photography, illustration, artwork, videos… and possibly more – surprise us.
Please read the full guidelines and terms of use (https://www.creatures.live/submit) before submitting. The best way to get a feel for the kind of work we enjoy is to take a look at our previous issues.
For essays and short fiction: Essays and stories should be typed and attached to your submission email in word (doc/dox) or pdf format. The themes are open to your interpretation – we’re looking for interesting takes, whether clearly or tenuously linked. Our publication celebrates short-form content, so please keep the word count under 1,000 words.

For photography and artwork: Please send us 3-10 high-quality images by WeTransfer download link, or as a Google Drive link. Please include an overall title for the series and captions for each individual image or artwork. Please include a short written explanation of the work (200-300 words).
For video work: 1-3 videos (under 4 minutes 30 seconds) as a vimeo or YouTube link, or a WeTransfer download link. Please include a written explanation of the work (200-300 words).
We are looking forward to receiving your works!
