The Virginia A. Groot Foundation established the Virginia A. Groot Foundation Grant in 1988 so that a ceramic sculpture or sculpture artist may have the opportunity to devote a substantial period of time to the development of his or her work.
We are endlessly inspired by the works we receive, which continue to drive our mission of introducing new and existing artists to the cultural landscape. We believe that investment and support of creative endeavors have the power to guide the next generation of artists through each stage of their journey and realize their vision, now and into the future. Your artistic vision, our support.
The grant winner will be determined primarily by the quality of work submitted and, secondarily, on the proposal provided on the application form. We are not a need based grant or an emergency grant, we award on merit..
