Think Tanger is a multidisciplinary cultural platform dedicated to stimulating culture, creativity, innovation and exchange in Tangier, Morocco. The organisation, founded in 2016, unites artists, designers, researchers, entrepreneurs and local communities. Together they explore the urban and cultural dynamics of a city in transformation, and promote understanding and dialogue. Think Tanger recognizes the significant influence of the urban environment on individuals and communities. According to the platform, positive change can occur through alternative education, creative entrepreneurship, art production and participatory research.

The residency at Think Tanger has been established in collaboration with the Creative Industries Fund NL and the Mondriaan Fund to stimulate crossovers and experimentation, and to exchange perspectives, knowledge and ideas. It offers designers and artists the opportunity to conduct research, expand their network and develop new work with a focus on design, urbanism and the dynamics between social and spatial aspects. The participants engage in a dialogue with the unique context of Tangier by exploring existing assumptions and societal issues in a creative way.
