With the village residences, artists of all genres (visual arts, performing arts, literature, film, etc.) are invited to live in the villages and towns of Uecker-Randow and to enter into an open and inspiring exchange with the residents with their work. During the working stay, artistic works, literary texts and/or performances are to be created on the individual themes and occasions of the places. The guiding idea of the Village Residence is to stimulate a creative and sustainable exchange on the regional self-image through the encounter of the artistic view from the outside and the internal perspective of the residents and to give each other new impulses. The call for applications is aimed at applicants who, in addition to their interest in realizing their artistic projects, are primarily interested in entering into a personal and mutually inspiring interaction with the local communities on site via their art. Criteria: - The artists live and work in the community for the duration of the project. - The theme of the artistic work can be chosen freely. - The activating cooperation with community representatives, local cultural workers, cultural associations and initiatives, voluntary actors, associations, children and young people as well as associated institutions is explicitly desired. - The duration of the work stay should be 4 to 6 months and can be composed of several (not too short) periods. - The result of the project must be presented for the first time in the place of residence.
