Overview

For those who see stories through a lens.

We're looking for a passionate photographer or videographer to join the BLINK community and contribute to our growing visual platform.

Since 2021, BLINK has been collaborating with independent magazines, creatives, artists and collectives around exhibitions, art weeks, fashion weeks and cultural events. Now, we're expanding our visual team and looking for fresh perspectives to document the people, places and experiences shaping contemporary culture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Photograph and/or film exhibitions, installations, performances and cultural events.

  • Document artists, creative collaborations and behind-the-scenes moments.

  • Produce visual content for our editorial and digital platforms.

  • Collaborate with our editorial and content teams on visual storytelling.

  • Develop creative approaches to documenting art, fashion, architecture and design.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience or a strong personal portfolio in photography, videography or both.

  • A strong visual eye and understanding of composition and storytelling.

  • Genuine interest in visual arts, fashion, architecture and contemporary culture.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Proactive attitude, creativity and willingness to experiment.

WHAT YOU GET

  • Contribution-based financial reward: We aim to financially recognise the work of our photographers and videographers by allocating an honorarium from our available project budget whenever possible. The amount is not fixed and depends on BLINK's financial capacity and the scope of each project.

  • Your name credited on released photography and video content.

  • BLINK press and crew passes.

  • Access to exhibitions, art fairs, fashion weeks and cultural events as a press associate.

  • Opportunities to build connections with artists, photographers, curators and creative professionals.

  • International exhibition and collaboration opportunities in Berlin, Paris, Vienna and New York.

  • Flights and accommodation covered for selected international projects.

COMMITMENT

One 2-hour meeting per month and approximately 2–4 hours of work monthly.

Participation is voluntary and flexible. You choose which projects you'd like to join depending on your availability. You can skip projects whenever other work or commitments take priority.

BLINK is a non-profit, donation-based initiative. This is a voluntary collaboration rather than a salaried position. While participation is generally unpaid, we aim to offer project-based financial recognition to photographers and videographers whenever our budget allows.

LOCATION

Berlin or New York preferred. Open to international applicants, especially Paris.
