A vexatious stage of quarter life crisis, the fear of falling behind when peers seem to get ahead in life. This is still horrifying to young adults in their mid-20s. Already feeling like a failure and putting unnecessary pressure unto own self.
Often overflowing with emotion, it becomes difficult to practice the same discipline aiming for a great achievement. Easy to adapt to bad habits and cannot focus due to social media compression leading to social and mental disorder. ‘Still Not Found!’, imprisoned in mental condition that cannot easily be escaped, making it hard to find or know ourselves. 
The hidden face symbolizes the absence of self-awareness and dignity, with the burned cloth covering the face indicating that the youth’s version is blocked, misdirected and dreams fading into thin air like a cigarette smoke. Illustrated by the silk fabric and the dark setting of the scene, young people are lost and hopeless while still covered with exorbitant material to present their counterfeit wealth and happiness.

In most black households anything that has a sexual connotation is taboo, and cannot be discussed with children. Sexual conversations among adults often use figures of speech, not direct, nor clear. Sex education does not exist in black households, with a sense that young ones may no longer respect elderly people, or that they may get into sexual activities which may lead to teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
Growing up one does not get tough about sex until they discover pornography, which is currently the main source where children find comfort in learning about sex. Like any other substance that gives dopamine, pornography is also addictive, it can be accessed very quickly and easily, and it’s hard to give up because it’s on our devices in our pockets. People can speak about any kind of addiction and find solutions, but not with pornography addiction, it is taboo to even say the word “sex”.
People addicted to pornography often face challenges with their intimate relationships, while most men deal with erectile dysfunction which may affect their mental health as they appear weak to their partners.
The use of horns on the head indicates his position as head of the family, but the horns are placed in an unusual way pointing down which is symbolic of impotence. The body covered in green resembles good health, while the head is covered with a dirty burned cloth that represents the unhealthy mind that has been consuming pornography. The mind becomes toxic to cause a dysfunctioning body, cycling back to the mind to cause depression due to poor results of body performance.” Quicksand In the Frame of Love” means being guzzled by bad habits while they seem like a good practice.

The work speaks loudly and addresses the issue of social and mental health disorders among young black male figures. This work portrays a male subject suffering from all past ignored emotional states, with the burned cloth covering an entire head which indicates the dryness of his facial skin that has not had his tears in a long time. The whole idea illustrates how dangerous it is to ignore emotions, as all that create a toxic mental that young black males grow up with, which most likely would lead to suicidal thoughts and/or brutal acts of violence. The strings attached to the neck are symbolic of all negative words and treatment that society provides in upbringing the boy child, they are placed around the neck to show that men are choking and are not being given space to express themselves. I want to raise awareness with this photograph that being emotional it's human nature and not a sign of weakness.

Perils Of The Dry Spell

Time is an inexplicable resource of everything. The work “I Think We 
Have Time!”, reflects on how young people measure time and react to 
each second ticking. Young people today are pressured by the 
internet, wasting hours on screens browsing on things that they wish 
they had so to appear better than peers when in public. Comparism 
often take place regarding who had greater achievements, and 
causing depression to those who appear weak or had achieved less.
Being young makes it feel like we have all the time in the world, we 
are relaxed until shaken by anxiety when opportunities pass by every 
second. Lack of acting on time kills the creativity, courage and 
discipline in us.
The eyes of the figure are closed, ignoring the present moment and 
stuck in the imaginary world worried about the future. The watch, an 
exorbitant material placed tight around the neck where it serves no 
purpose, in this regard it plays a role as a leash explaining how we are 
leashed to the past and cannot see the time counting down to our last 
days on Earth. An old-fashioned basin containing red graveyard soil 
holds the candle sturdily and it is exposed to the wind which may blow 
it off, it is a symbol to our lives that are exposed to diseases, although 
we are surrounded by the green herbs, but that does not guarantee 
an eternal life.
