This is part of a muli-media installation slated for exhibition in the Yukon Territory in northern Canada in December 2020. I've just returned home after spent 8 months on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada working with the skeleton of a juvenile humpback whale.  I've copied her entire skeleton by hand from ocean salvaged styrofoam. Her skin (and a school of herring) will be made of my own collected single use plastic that I have ironed and sewn together. 
The carving took 8 months and now I am working on the other aspects of the installation. Accompanying the installation is an 8 part soundcycle, a conversation between nature/whales and humanity.
