The present Project seek the exhibition of the records (photo, videos, texts) of the performance arts “Untitled or And the people in the dining room" and "Catracacatraca". Both performances were created as responses to the context of popular demonstrations in the last two years in Brazil and expose the complexity of society and its dilemmas.

The exposition of such works would not only collaborate for the creation of new perceptions, detaching realities from local addicted views, but can also contribute to think the role of art in a world in crisis. Brazil, in this sense, due to its exploitation colonization and its historic of corruption and big inequality rates, with high wealth concentration, can be stage to expose no filtered images of a complex world.

This project expect to create a collaborative partnership with an Art Gallery in Berlin, in order to achieve the intended exhibition and to create new work connections.

 The first one, “Untitled or And the people in the dinning room”, performed during one of these manifestations, the artists Ariane Hime and Fernanda Vizeu organized an act in which they remained seated dining in front of a television screen, alienated from the reality of the protest around them. Even during violent clash between police and protesters, the artists protected themselves with gas masks and remained in resistance.

In the second one, “Catracacatraca”, is a performance that questions what would happen if someone decided not to pay the bus ticket. While keeping the camera in hand, the artist Fernanda Vizeu refuses to pay the amount of R$3, jumps the turnstile (in portuguese, “catraca”) and publishes the recorded video on the internet.
