The inspiration for this work is the spectacular color change of metal surfaces through reaction with their natural environment, often found in abandoned places, where nature evolves freely. 
In an experimental process, colors are artificially created through the deliberate oxidation of metals and made visible on textile. The design results from the principles of chromatography and the capillary effect.
Some of the colors react strongly to changes in ambient temperature or humidity. Thus, the pieces do not finalize at any stage, but exclusively mark a moment.

Microcosm

This work shows the examination of salt (sodium chloride) as a material. Experimental processing techniques reveal the changeable shape and unimagined aesthetic potential of salt.
The existing form of the salt is dissolved in water, from the saturated brine it crystallizes again. Under optimal growth conditions, the salt forms cubistic crystals. However, minimal changes in external conditions have a great effect on crystal growth and the most amazing shapes are formed.
Beautiful crystals are made to grow freely around textile fiber. 
Salt is melted and poured into predefined molds, in this state it takes on a glass-like appearance.
The results are in turn placed in the context of the material, representing fragile bowls. Their fragility points to the forgotten preciousness of the material. In contact with saturated brine they sustain, but in contact with fresh water they dissolve.
