Waking from Despair

Meditation on chakra activation inspired the painting "Sensing Chakras". It captures the moment when you feel the energy flowing through each chakra, unfolding their potential and harmony. It's a dive into the depths of inner consciousness, the manifestation of the soul in its purest form.

No.1 is the first drawing of a series I began to work on after following the longing for a more universal language, to express a shift of consciousness in my life. From my early childhood, I fell in love with various ways to express myself, but no matter which form I used, after a while I felt something is missing and I recognized that, while time flies by, I never could grasp the whole picture, as we are all so much more than our profession or the way we look like. These lines of black chinese ink, drawn with a little wooden stick on paper, helped me to capture the essence and layers of life. The way we are all different, yet the same. The moments we spend and shape the world and how we become part of its landscape. No matter what we do, we leave our imprint and every line reminds me on the primal function of lines and carvings, which our ancestors known and used long before us in their daily life, to learn about the world, nature and the role humans play for a glimpse of time.

Capture the essence of a serene evening with "Hushed Reflections of Dusk," a captivating artwork that portrays the quiet, intimate moments shared between a mother and her son. The gentle hues of the setting sun, ranging from soft pinks and oranges to deep blues and purples, cast a warm, reflective glow across the water. This piece invites viewers to appreciate the simple, meaningful moments set against the backdrop of a tranquil sunset.

The figure was conceived as a response to the criticisms directed at the dreamer. The balloon, the metaphor of these dreams, shows a girl handcuffed with a rope. This narrative is the image of people who call it daydreaming, but with a careful look, it is associated with the idea that these criticisms are meaningless without the locks on the handcuffs.

My work explores the thin line between reality and fantasy, creating visual narratives that challenge our perception of the everyday world. Through sculpture and installation, I invite viewers to step into a realm where the mundane collides with the extraordinary.

The "Hand from Nowhere" series, exemplified by the disembodied hand wielding a gun emerging from walls or floors, represents the unexpected intrusion of fantasy into our reality. These sculptures serve as portals, blurring the boundaries between the tangible world and the realm of imagination.

By juxtaposing familiar elements (a hand, a gun) with surreal presentation, I aim to evoke a sense of unease and wonder simultaneously. The pink cloud in one piece adds a layer of whimsy to an otherwise threatening image, further complicating the viewer's emotional response.

My work is not meant to provide clear answers, but rather to spark questions and ignite the audience's own imagination. I seek to remind viewers of the latent magic present in our world – a magic often overlooked in adulthood but vividly alive in childhood fantasies.

Through these pieces, I encourage viewers to reconsider their surroundings, to look for the extraordinary within the ordinary, and to embrace the possibility that reality itself might be more fantastical than we assume. My art serves as a bridge between the concrete and the imaginary, inviting each observer to complete the narrative with their own interpretations and experiences.

"Shattered Faith, Uplifted Humanity" invites viewers to reflect on the role of religion and faith in their lives. It challenges them to consider how breaking free from outdated or harmful beliefs can lead to a more compassionate, open-minded, and inclusive world. The piece is a powerful reminder that true faith lies not in rigid adherence to doctrine, but in the continual pursuit of understanding, empathy, and human connection.

My "Territories Blue" paintings are inspired by aerial views of archaeological sites and bomb-damaged cities and villages, which have similar geometric formations under the dust and rubble.

  
Their surfaces, marked by irregular, asymmetrical grids, are painted in blends of blue, white, and earth tones, symbolizing water, air, and land.

  
It saddens me that ancient and modern peoples have fought and continue to fight over these same elements.

  
This series of Stopping the Noise, a sub series of the Territories Blue works, is about the rubble left behind when we destroy everything.

The **Could-be-true tales** is a series of three pieces with hidden narratives on power and oppression. Each painting reflects abstract representations of concrete concepts involving exclusion, isolation, and elimination.

This is a type of time capsule project in which the stories behind the artwork will be revealed in the future for reflection.
