Mixed media installation. Refuge describes a shelter from pursuit or danger. A moment, place or time where surrounding and mounting pressures and fears are obscured. A gilded archway where one may take cover and reflect.

Untitled #1 (Wall Pizza)

Modular installation for Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY. 
Conceptualized as a post apocalyptic sci-fi fantasy, the installation includes a custom 70ft inflatable Wormhole object and 15 unique hanging  4x7ft Dystopian sculptures spanning across the venue’s main and side rooms. The use of found object and recycled material emphasizes our innate human desire for nostalgia - a need for tangible connections to everything around us. 
Designed and constructed with durability, modularity and compact storage in mind, the system features bespoke hardware and rigging points to be easily and quickly installed / de-installed  around the club’s busy scheduling, for a monthly “Elseworld” event. It is then able to be broken down to a roughly 10x6ft storage area.
