Since this Pandemic has taken over, and we need to stay home for health and safety matters. The work life of most has changed. Home office for some, or no official office at all for others (Freelancers or artists) Myself as a photographer who works mainly on Events and Performance Music photography and is used to traveling, this has totally changed. Facetiming has been a daily routine -That’s how I got to experiment with the idea of virtual photo sessions with Female musician artists around the world in their Quarantine Habitat. One of the challenges shooting via your phone is that you have no idea how the surroundings on the other side are, and that you limit yourself of this small box/screen. Since this was all taken during real time quarantine, it was a nice way of being creative together.

Quarantine Habitat

AFTER SPENDING 3 MONTHS IN THE U.S. IN THE SUMMER OF 2016, I REALIZED THAT EVERY 5 MINUTES YOU ARE REMINDED THAT YOU ARE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THERE IS A FLAG IN ALMOST EVERY CORNER ,HOUSES, ON CLOTHE, EVEN THE SIGNS HAVE THOSE COLOURS.COMING FROM A COUNRTY LIKE GERMANY,ONE COULD NEVER SEE THIS ,SINCE PATRIOTISM IS SEEN IN ANOTHER WAY, SO THIS REALLY CAUGHT MY EYE, SO I STARTED TO FOCUSE ON THIS. NOT ONLY WITH THE FLAG ON IT, BUT ALSO MOTIVES THAT RESEAMBLE THE COLOURS OF THE U.S FLAGS.

Stefanie's analog photography paints pictures of a crucial part of the city that has undergone a drastic change in a few years.
