I go where the water goes is a collaborative project between Bryce Henry and Sebastian Perinotti. The series was shot entirely on film, instant and 35mm, in Provincetown, Massachusetts. My only intention was to photograph the landscape, the body and use one prop, the lace cloth. Without any preconceptions or ideas of a finished product, we set out on our journey from the edge of town to the famed Boys Beach, a trip one must plan for and time accordingly as it is only accessible during low tide, wading through the marshlands. This series is an ode to this sacred place, to our planet, to water. The culmination of this project is a self-publication of a limited edition photo book, in which words by Henry serve as both a reflection on the experience of shooting these photographs and their own meditation on water. With this series, I am investigating the relationship between performance and photography, while the sitter submits to the landscape, becomes one with the natural world, as opposed to posing in front of or against it.
