I always describe “El Santo” as kind of soup of concepts; as a response to a feeling of longing, for my country and my culture, a way to reaffirm my “latino essence”, in a continent, where I was sometimes, either discouraged or filtered, through a lense of predisposition.

I made this piece to regain love for who I am, and where I come from.

This is a lenticular printed images wall installation*; each image is intervened with a robust abstract stamp, playing with repetition and individuality at the same time. 

*Religious lenticular images, acrylic paint, wax, spray paint.

El Santo

This is my latest floral design, for this piece I drew inspiration from my childhood. As a proper South American little boy, my favourite part of the birthday party was always the piñata, and the amazing surprises that came out of it.

An explosion of colour and fun.

In this design I wanted to provoke a feeling of fun, passion and rawness. I went with a small variety of wild and colourful flowers that would contrast and compliment the colours of the piñata but never fighting against them. As you can see this one is full of texture, so this was also an important aspect for the selection of the flowers, and to balance the composition, I decided to go with a few stylish greenery. .
