Rooted in the **Griotronic aesthetic**, their emotionally charged music carries the **spiritual** **heat of the Sahel**. Sami’s precise playing, deeply anchored in ancestral memory, invites listeners into an immersive and soulful sonic journey.

Stopped in front of the **Bondoukou Museum**, I am conducting in-depth research on historical elements, uncovering the stories behind certain artworks and ritual symbols. This exploration enriches my creation within the spirit of Griotronic, an Afro-futurist fusion combining traditional instruments, electronic music, rituals, and immersive visual arts.

At the conclusion of his research and creation residency titled Harmony of Times: Tradition and Modernity in Music, held at Yelam’s in partnership with the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire, Sami Guitare developed powerful artistic content. This project explores the connection between traditional African musical roots and contemporary forms of expression.

  
It notably gave rise to a music video telling the story of a young man from a rural background, torn between the demands of farm work and the irresistible call of music.

As part of the artistic and stage development of his project **Harmony of Times** , Sami Guitare took part in a scenographic creation residency at Yelam’s, a cultural structure renowned in Côte d’Ivoire for supporting innovative artistic practices.

  
The residency aimed to rethink the stage direction of the musical project in alignment with its core essence: a living bridge between tradition and modernity.

  
During the process, Sami Guitare explored immersive scenographic forms designed for contemporary performance spaces, while integrating elements from African visual culture: traditional textiles, warm-toned lighting, and geometric symbols inspired by Sahelian art.

  
The artist was supported by professionals in visual arts and lighting design, with the goal of enhancing the impact of his performances, particularly in small urban venues and cultural centers.

  
This residency resulted in the creation of a visual universe coherent with the GRIOTRONIC musical style, focusing on:

  
the spatial arrangement of musicians on stage,

  
musical entrances and transitions,

  
and the dialogue between traditional instruments (such as the kora) and modern technical setups.
