PUTÌA is situated in a territory where the symbol is not a residue of the past, but a structure that remains operative. Sicily is approached not as a place to be represented, but as a field in which matter, ritual, and image continue to generate meaning. Food is central: bread, fruits, fish, and vegetal bodies are treated as forms withdrawn from use, retaining an undeclared spiritual function. Tarot introduces a non-linear structure where the symbol operates as an alphabet: images do not illustrate content, but activate an evocative process. Within this system, the chair functions as an active human presence (minimal, exposed, and persistent) marking what remains after a rupture makes unconscious rituals visible.
