Das erste mal mit jemanden die Leinwand zu teilen, ist wie rangeln oder reiten. Wie beim sparing mal so richtig die Grenzen ausloten zu dürfen, um zu sehen was geht und was nicht. Sich dabei im Klaren sein, dass sich Grenzen verschieben, auch auch verschwimmen können.

Ein Stück Heimat, ein Lichtblick und jede Menge Prosecco.

„Backfisch“ ist die zweite Kollaboration mit dem wundervollen @erold Sommer,
die auch bereits Teil der Ausstellung „Ein wilder Sommer“ war. Hierbei haben wir 
uns nicht nur auf der Leinwand ergänzt, sondern uns auch viel Vertrauen geschenkt.

Das Vertrauen, das aus einer Geschichte eine ganz Neue gemacht hat. Erzählt durch den Pinsel, in Acryl auf Leinwand.

Backfisch

Athletes are supposed to win, over and over again. For themselves, but above all for us, for entertainment. Because only the best counts. But as soon as an athlete steps out of line, addresses problems that are omnipresent, issues like racism and depression, he or she quickly falls out of favor and is torn apart by critics.
But behind a sportsman is first and foremost a human being, a human being who is often not allowed to speak openly about his fears, his doubts and his anger. A person who may be torn apart inside, but always has to appear strong on the outside.

This is exactly what the work "Tough Times" is about. The boxer who has a very strong appearance, who always has to appear strong on the outside, but on the inside has to struggle with a lack of motivation, fear and self-doubt, but at the same time is not allowed to make this public. In the shadows, always the critic, always there to judge the slightest sign of weakness.

But nowadays it must be allowed to defend yourself against injustice, to talk about feelings and fear, to express your inner conflict in front of an audience and even the whole world, because that is what makes a person human.

Tough Times

When I moved to Berlin, I noticed that it seems to be incredibly important that I know my Ascendant and how my Venus is in Jupiter when I date.

At first I was completely unprepared for this topic. When I announced it in conversation, I only received the obligatory shake of the head. As if there was nothing more important than aligning my life with the stars and various missteps on my part were always due to this, as I could often observe.


After being "forced to" download a few apps because I needed to check compatibility with my dates in various categories such as intelligence, emotions and pleasure, I came to the conclusion that my excursion into the world of astrology was over.

What matters to me is compatibility and vibe in the here and now, not the intersection of date of birth, time, place and the position of the stars at that moment calculated by an AI.

I process this experience in the image called "Tinder" and the expression "cool cool" refers to the fact
that I allow everyone to be interested in these things, but for me there are more important things in life.
