Do you dream of your own publication or do you need an extra push to realize your artistic idea? This is your chance to bring your artwork, ideas and designs to life in the museum shop of the Jakob Smits Museum!
What can you submit?
Youth House Tydeeh and the Jakob Smits Museum invite you to a unique contest. Whether you are good at images, words, or textiles - all creative ideas are welcome! Only it must have a link to Mol or Jakob Smits but you may go very broad here. Whether you are inspired by the landscape, the history of the region, or the work of Smits himself - anything goes, as long as it reflects your creative view of Mol!
Why participate?
In addition to the chance to see your work shine in a museum shop, all entries will receive a spot on a special mini-expo with reception at the Jakob Smits Museum. It is the opportunity to show your creativity to the general public and meet new people!
Artists under the age of 30 are eligible.
From the entries, three winners will be chosen, of which we will have a limited edition produced that will be for sale in the museum shop. You yourself will also get a small edition to take home for family and friends!
How it works
1. Send in your design - This can be done digitally via the application form or feel free to pop in with your creation at Youth House Tydeeh!
2. Support - Project staff members Rik and Caroline from Project M are ready to help you with digitizing, designing and choosing suitable materials. For example, you can think about screen printing on a tote bag, t-shirt, card - anything that makes your idea come into its own.
