dancing on the edge scholarship program

We are happy to announce that the 12th edition of the Dancing on the Edge Scholarship Program will take place again in Amsterdam. With the scholarships we offer young talent from West Asia (a.k.a. Middle East) and North Africa (WANA) the opportunity to attend HJS’ Amsterdam Summer Intensive, a three-week dance workshop program in July. We have been offering these scholarships since 2012, in collaboration with Henny Jurriëns Studio (HJS), a dance-training institute for professional level dancers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

During three weeks, the dancers will take dance classes (ballet, contemporary, countertechnique, and more) and participate in different workshops (repertoire, creation). The program is an ideal opportunity for dancers to study in an international atmosphere together with other professionally oriented dancers.

For two participants, the DOTE Scholarship Program covers travel and visa expenses, accommodation, program fees. There is no per diem: participants are expected to pay for their own living and other expenses. They should also pay their own travel/health insurance.

The Amsterdam Summer Intensive takes place from 10th till 28th of July.
