open call for funded exhibitions in 2027, 2028 and 2029

We invite professional artists to apply for anexhibition in the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon as part of our Open Call for exhibitions. These exhibitions are funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

The Open Call is an opportunity to apply for an exhibition of work which you have already created – the work does not have to be created especially for dlr LexIcon. The work you submit in your application must be new to the audience in Dublin and the general M50 area (for example North Wicklow, South Dublin, Fingal, Kildare). It should have been created within the last five years and should not be older work. If your work has been shown in a commercial gallery anywhere (rather than a public gallery), then you may submit it.

We will select three exhibitions, one for each year from 2027- 2029. Each exhibition will run for eight to ten weeks. The exhibition dates will be agreed with the selected artists, we will look at the overall Gallery Programme when deciding the dates. One exhibition opportunity will be for an emerging artist.
