This is an independent artist residency in the central tea hills of Sri Lanka.

Immerse yourself in the botanical surroundings of Macushla Sanctuary, enjoy this special place, take the time to focus, reflect and process your artistic intention.

Macushla Sanctuary is a 30 acre botanical dream with stone pathways throughout. The residence and studio are located within the property grounds.

Each artist stays in private bedrooms with 4 poster canopy bed with ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms open onto a verandah with table and chairs.

Shared spaces include, studio, kitchen, dining and lounge area, Laxapana waterfall is a 10 minute walk from the property.

Adams peak sacred pilgrimage is 1 hours tuc tuc ride from the property.
