The residency When Nature Writes – the sixth edition of encounters around collective creation in Colombia and the fifth edition in Spain – proposes an exploration of rhizomatic connections between creation and ecology. It proposes that writers, contemporary artists, and people from diverse disciplines and knowledge backgrounds be sensitive to the landscape surrounding Can Serrat and to make this place visible, through different disciplines. This gathering is also an invitation to participate in the ongoing reflection on the concepts of authorship, collaboration, and creation through collective experimentation.
This program is part of an ongoing research project of the residency guion bajo and Cajón de Sastre (in Colombia) and Can Serrat (in Catalonia), whose focus is on the exchange of interdisciplinary experiences, as well as an inquiry into processes and methodologies to address creative practices. The individuals selected to participate in this new edition we conduct together at Can Serrat should dedicate part of their time to contributing to the reflection on a collective project. The format, schedule, and outcome of this collaboration will not be predetermined but will be developed collectively throughout this 6-week residency.
