losito art prize 2024

The Losito Kressmann-Zschach Foundation announces the Losito Art Prize for painting and drawing/graphics every three years. The aim of the Losito Art Prize is to promote and honor outstanding contemporary artistic achievements. A topic is not specified. The works to be submitted should not be older than three years, i.e. not created before 2021.

A five-person jury from the fields of art studies, museums, painting/graphics and art criticism works in three stages. The jury will first make an initial selection from all applications with photographs of a maximum of five works each. Their artists are invited to the second jury stage with the request to submit an original work of art from their application. Other works are not permitted. The jury makes a selection of around 20 works in total, which will later be shown in an exhibition. In the final step, the jury decides on the award of the three prizes.
