The 47th cycle of The Bronx Museum’s annual AIM Fellowship—a professional development and career accelerator program for the most talented rising artists based in New York City.

ABOUT THE AIM PROGRAM

Founded in 1980, the AIM Fellowship (formerly known as the “Artist in Marketplace” Fellowship) is The Bronx Museum’s flagship incubator and career accelerator program for the most promising artists based in NYC. Each year, a jury of artists and arts professionals select 14 artists for the program through a competitive open call application process. AIM Fellows are awarded a nine-month practicum led by a distinguished faculty of experts who cover finance, law, media management, and writing, among other subjects vital to maintaining and growing a successful career as an artist.

The Fellowship concludes with the annual AIM Convening at The Bronx Museum. Collaboratively organized by the outgoing cohort of AIM Fellows, the AIM Convening positions the outgoing Fellows as professional development experts, helps artists outside the AIM program access valuable information and resources for succeeding in the art world, and builds community among artists in New York City.

Although AIM is not a studio program, The Bronx Museum seeks to highlight and uplift the artwork of artists who completed the Fellowship through a dedicated biennial exhibition accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue.
