The Stipend is aimed at artists who are also mothers. They are encouraged to bring their children (max age 12) with.
Artists can reside in a former three-sided farm in a small Saxon village on the A14 highway between Dresden and Leipzig. A room with a small bathroom is available for each artist with her child/children.
500 EUR Stipend
There are atelier spaces on a large scale: Clay and metal workshops, plaster room, spacious studio under the roof, barn, as well as the courtyard for larger outdoor works. The children are cared for on site by a childminder.
One-Month-Scholarship for Sculpture, Installation and Object Art
The Saxon artist residence "Künstlergut Prösitz" invites applications for four-week participation in the Europe-wide unique symposium within May to October annually.
The aim of the symposium is to enable professional artists to work sculpturally / installatively during the four working weeks at the Künstlergut.
Unique and special is that the scholarship is addressed to female artists who are also mothers. The Prösitzer Symposium allows them to bring their children with them. Childcare will be provided for the children (maximum age 12 years) at the Künstlergut Prösitz during the four-week residency. This allows the women to devote themselves to their artistic work, to exchange ideas with colleagues in the same life situation and also to network ideally.
The jury is composed of the previous year's scholarship holders and a curator (art historian). Thus, the jury remains independent and the scholarship holders gain (further) jury experience through their participation.
