Overview

To undiscovered lands is a group project aiming to gather people from different background to reflect, understand and create new ways of considering the intangibles lines which divide us.

Borders are all around us, intersecting every part of our daily life. Most of the time, however, these borders go unnoticed. Everyone is subjected to borders and the ways they affect people are just as infinite. Our goal is to make the functioning of borders explicit by facilitating a collaboration that transcends disciplines, backgrounds, identities, and form.

During our residency until June 2023, we are organizing a project that will unfold itself virtually, in the front yard, and at Het Paviljoen. The outside exhibition in May 2023 will be divided in 3 areas: The Paviljoen will act as an embassy and the other two areas will showcase two different paths to ‘enter’ the KASK & CONSERVATORIUM grounds.

We have launched 3 types of open calls (that you can find below) for you to apply to. With these open calls we are looking for people that want to share their work and perspective on (intangible) borders.

The opening will take place the 4th of May, 2023. Exhibition ends the 4th June 2023.
