The WOPHA Research Fellowship supports exemplary research by emerging and established writers examining themes related to women and non-binary voices in photography. It facilitates the creation of scholarly essays that engage with primary and secondary sources while supporting authors through access to mentorship, networking, and publication opportunities.
This independently driven research fellowship offers the space and dedicated time to develop a new or ongoing course of research, with support through mentorship and guidance. Beyond the independent research component undertaken by the selected fellows, the program also encourages fellows to explore Miami’s rich cultural offerings and build lasting relationships with the city’s creative networks while in residency in Miami in the Fall.
