Burnt Sienna invites painters and visual artists to develop their work within an active, artist-led studio community in Berlin.
Founded by painter Louise Lenz in 2016, Burnt Sienna combines traditional painting education with independent studio practice, mentoring and exhibitions. The residency offers time to pursue a personal project, exchange ideas with other artists and develop a sustained body of work.
We welcome artists who are committed to using the studio regularly and interested in thoughtful conversation about painting, materials and image-making. Residents work independently while participating in the wider life of the studio, alongside practising artists, tutors and students.
This is a studio-based, non-residential opportunity. Artists should arrange their own accommodation in Berlin and bring materials for their independent practice.
