Selection process
All entries are juried and selected through a blind selection process by our gallery committee, comprised of dedicated faculty, staff, K-12 art educators, and artists from the community.
The review process takes place during the Fall semester, and artists receive notification in January.
Artists may apply for solo, two-person, or group exhibitions.
Campus Visits and Engagement
Visits to campus are an important part of programming, but some exhibitions are scheduled without a visit. Penn College offers a B.S. in Graphic Design. Foundation courses include drawing, 2D and 3D design, visual literacy, painting, ceramics, wood sculpture, printmaking, and computer graphics. Artists are encouraged to propose class-specific programs. Optional workshops for the community are also welcome. Accepted artists will be asked for proposals, or artists may email proposals after applying to gallery@pct.edu.
Reception and Promotion
Gallery receptions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Artists visiting campus will offer a gallery talk of 20-30 minutes during the public reception.
Promotional support includes annual gallery catalog, postcards, press releases, and web and social media.
