open call for support for dutch-belgian co-projects

Belgium is one of the focus countries in the International Cultural Policy of the Netherlands. Through this policy, we aim to strengthen the position of the Dutch cultural sector in Belgium through visibility, exchange, and sustainable cooperation. Additionally, we aim to support the bilateral relationship between the Netherlands and Belgium through Dutch cultural activities in Belgium (cultural diplomacy). Finally, we leverage the power of the cultural sector and the creative industries to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The embassy has annual resources available to provide financial support to cultural organizations based in Belgium that offer a platform for Dutch creators to showcase their work in Belgium. The embassy's funding is aimed at facilitating collaborations in Belgium between, on the one hand, renowned cultural organizations based in Belgium, and on the other, artists and designers living in the Netherlands who make a valuable contribution to the cultural field in the Netherlands. To this end, it organizes annual open calls for grant applications.
