Oysters have lived on the earth for more than 200 million years. They form a highly changeable intertidal zone with each other. At the same time, they have developed their own unique lifestyle and formed oyster reefs.
The exhibition โSitting by the oystersโ aims to rethink about the marginal existence of marine ecosystems.
From the perspective of filtering and feeding health lifes such as oysters,we could see invisible labour between people and human intervention in nature. This project aims to explore themes such as feminism, queerness and non-colonialism. In addition, the project will also open up a perspective for the audience and artists to rethink the relationship between human and non-human in the natural ecosystem.
