Manhattan Graphics Center awards 11 scholarships each year. Any artist who has not previously worked at MGC (i.e. taken a class, taught a class, served as a monitor, or purchased open workshop time) is eligible to apply. Printmaking experience is not required, and there is no fee to apply. A scholarship consists of: tuition waiver for class (either one core class or two workshops), unlimited open workshop hours for one term, $125 materials reimbursement, storage space for one term, and MGC membership for 1 year (includes eligibility to participate in members’ events and exhibitions). Awardees also have the opportunity to deliver a public artist talk and make a donation of one print to the MGC archive after the conclusion of the scholarship term.
