parent moving artist residency

The 2025 GALLIM Parent Moving Artist Residency provides comprehensive support for 2 movement artists who are also parents. This program offers fully-funded, secure, and private studio spaces, an artist stipend, the option for mentorship sessions, and an additional childcare stipend. This residency carves out dedicated process space for in-depth research and creative exploration for caregivers who often have very little support to access their creative practice.

GALLIM is an organization led by mothers, and as such, we deeply understand the unique challenges that come with balancing family responsibilities and a thriving artistic career in the U.S. We have an unwavering commitment to serve our community of talented caregiving artists and we eagerly invite you to engage in a dialogue with us to tailor this residency to your specific creative process and needs.

Residencies will be held between the weeks of June 9th - Aug 11th, 2025

Each residency is one week long (5 days a week, generally Monday-Friday) Studio is available 10am-3pm EST
