Creative Futures is offering 4 early-career artists a £500 commission and a 3-month residency each to develop new art &/or performance works, exploring an imagined future. We’re looking for new works which offer bold alternatives to our present reality, whether this imagined future be alien, dystopian or a hopeful vision of a brighter future.

Creative Youth Network will provide Creative Futures commissioned artists with a structure of support, mentoring, artist-to-artist creative exchange & workshops to develop their creative practices, producing skills, professional networks, and artistic community - ending with a public exhibition / performance of the commissioned artist’s works at The Courts in Bristol’s city center.

Creative Youth Network and We The Curious

An addition to this year's programme, Creative Futures will partner you with the team at We The Curious who run an exciting public program of workshops & events that use art to spark curiosity about science. Artists will work collaboratively with one of Bristol’s leading cultural venues to plan and lead a creative workshop that applies your creative practice in a public engagement context. Commissioned artists will receive workshop planning and leadership training and an additional £250 fee from We The Curious, supporting artists to develop and deliver a creative workshop or session as part of the wide-ranging public events program.
