Artist's books receive little support, both financially and in terms of distribution, despite the prominent place these works occupy in the history of art and in the careers of creators. This is why ADAGP – the French society for the collection and distribution of copyright in the field of visual arts – and SGDL – the Société des Gens de Lettres – have launched a creation grant intended to encourage the realization of artist's book projects. Thus, the Arcane grant is a grant for the design and production of an artist's book bringing together a visual artist and a written author.
