With the special funding program LINZ_media_arts, the city of Linz, as a "UNESCO City of Media Arts," is setting another strong example for media art, focusing on the local scene. The international media arts community's attention, which has been focused on Linz since 1979 through Ars Electronica, is intended to be used to highlight the artistic work of local artists.

The expert jury will discuss and evaluate the submitted proposals based on the following quality criteria:

• innovative potential
• Coherence of ambition and feasibility
• sustainable impact and supra-regional relevance in the field of media art
