TellMe 2026 -3rd International Symposium on Biographical Narratives in Arts, Media and Society
Online Symposium | 28–29 May 2026
Call for Papers and Stories/Artworks
Tell.Me 2026 invites researchers, artists, storytellers and practitioners to submit proposals for the 3rd International Symposium on Biographical Narratives in Arts, Media and Society, which will take place online on 28–29 May 2026.
Biographical narratives—whether documentary, artistic or educational—serve as key bridges between personal experience and culture. They help preserve memories and knowledge while also challenging and reinterpreting social, political and cultural frameworks through diverse formats and digital platforms.
Through invited lectures, research presentations and artistic contributions from participants across the globe, the symposium will explore how biographical narratives:
deepen understanding of pluralism within urban communities;
recover collective memory while valuing individual lived experiences;
contribute to the development of ethical, media-literate and culturally aware cities.
The symposium aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue between research, artistic practice and storytelling, bringing together contributions from the fields of arts, media, communication, digital culture, education and urban studies.
We welcome submissions including:
Academic abstracts (theoretical, empirical or practice-based research)
Artistic proposals (Stories/Artworks)
Visual, sonic or multimedia narrative projects
Practice-based research and artistic storytelling projects
